Crouse Performance Hall has hosted a multitude of shows in its 27 years including the “Broadway in Lima” series which has brought top-quality Broadway tours to town. Some of the shows that have been seen on the Crouse stage are Cats, Rent, Cinderella, Grease, Titanic, Movin' On, The Pajama Game, Riverdance and many others. We have also hosted concerts of every kind, lectures, dance shows and a wide variety of specialty events. Crouse Hall also has a 35mm film system and the largest movie screen in northwest Ohio.
The stage of Crouse Hall is framed by a 60’x 26’ proscenium, behind which you will find a full stage house with forty line sets and ample wing space. The floor has a tempered masonite cover over yellow pine to which scenery can be attached. Our house curtain is a guillotine style burgundy velour drape with a split center.
The theatre can comfortably seat 1,767 between the balcony, orchestra and the removable seating in the orchestra pit. Twenty-six of those seats are wheelchair accessible. Sight lines are unimpeded in all areas and the furthest seat is only 96 feet from the stage apron.
There are a total of five dressing rooms, two located off stage left and the remainder on the mezzanine level. The two located on the main floor can accommodate one to three people, while the other three are comfortable for up to 20 each. Each dressing room has a stage monitor with individual volume controls as well as mirrors, wardrobe racks, restrooms and showers.
Crouse Performance Hall provides performers convenience to prepare for their shows as well as comfort for those who have come to watch them perform.
